PKUASC Co-Hosts Workshop with Lowy Institute for International Policy and PKU Centre for International Political Economy

On 26 May 2014, Professor David Walker, BHP Billiton Chair of Australian Studies at Peking University participated in a workshop on ‘China, Australia and Global Economic Governance’.
The event was convened by Professor Wang Yong of Peking University, and was co-hosted by the Peking University Centre for International Political Economy, the Lowy Institute for International Policy, and the Peking University Australian Studies Centre. Attendees included: Hugh Jorgensen and Daniela Strube from the Lowy Institute, Professor Zha Daojiong and Associate Professor Chen Shaofeng from Peking University; Associate Professor Feng Weijiang from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; Associate Professor Li Fujian from China Foreign Affairs University; and Associate Professor Li Wei from Renmin University. Also present were Counsellor Shrila Dattar Kumar from the Indian Embassy in Beijing and Akihiko Tamura, Director of the Japan-China Economic Cooperation Society.
